About Our Department
The Department of Population Science and Human Resource Development started at 1996 under the faculty of science, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. It began with two faculty members and 7 staffs by enrolling 25 students and gradually increased the capacity of enrollment of students. Now there are 60 students enrolled in each session with 300 students in total including M.Phil. and PhD level. There are 24 faculty members and 12 office staffs conducting the academic activities.
The academic curriculum of the department is being regulated in English medium from the beginning. Inspiring from the importance, this department introduced 30 courses in the B.Sc. honours level and 8 courses at M.Sc level including Demography, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer programming, Public health, Epidemiology, Human Resource Development(HRD) and environment.
